This phenomenon occurs in specific locations where both internal and external environmental factors create layered and  haunting experiences, affecting individuals AND hauntings differently each time. The cumulative impact of external factors, hauntings, and human interactions can lead to a significant shift in the locations energy. This shift can manifest as an increase in paranormal activity or a change in the overall atmosphere of the house. In some cases, the combined effects can lead to a permanent disruption of the house’s environment, making it a place with ongoing layers of paranormal phenomena of a predatory nature. This disruption can affect not only the physical space but also the psychology of those who interact with it. The Waldorf Effect is a multifaceted four part theory where factors such as the environment (history, culture and geological features), the layers of hauntings (traditional and created), and the psychology of the investigators (religion, fear factors, psychic abilities), all converge to change the environment of a location by shifting its energy according to changes in haunting activity; specifically created hauntings.
